Help me and my 14yr old son!

Ok we are SO new to this. Our test piece printed fine on the e180 and we found a file on thingiverse we would like to print. We have the easyprint 3d software that was recommended on this site. BUT when we plug the printer into the laptop, it doesn't know its a printer. It says "other device" and says "driver not available" ... How do we get this thing to recognize the device??
Wish there were an easy 800 number. Didn't know forums like this were still around in the past decade but I cant find anyone who had the same issue.
Already wrote the email on support section here, but my son is DYING to play with his new toy and this is a huge downer that were sitting here frustrated and stumped. THANKS!
