x axis endstop - won't reach

Hello,
I have an i3 Pro C. I've managed to get the axis to home in the right direction, but it crashes into the end of the board before it can reach teh endstop switch. Can anyone advise on how to correct this please?
There was a little blue acrylic 'stick' that I could attach to teh extruder frame, but this isn't long enough! I can't see anyhting else I'm missing.
