Texture very bad at rear part of build

My Mecreator2 over a couple of years has printed may very wonderful prints wth very good quality but recently it gradually needed new bearings as the texture degraded so I changed the X and Y bearings. But now the front apprimately half of the build area produces a reasonable good print quality but the back part is very bad. Some layers are shifted back on the Y axis by upto about 1mm and some are ok, making it very rough. I have reduced the accelerations and jerks to a minimum and am printing with PLA at 50mm/sec with a travel of only 30mm/s. Have retraction of 5.0mm with -0.5mm restart.
Any ideas are welcome

Hi,regarding the problem of layer shift, you can check the tightness of the belt; whether the bearing has the proper lubricant; whether the drive plate voltage is 0.8-1.2V.

Thanks William for your fast response and great suggestions.
I am assuming the voltage and lubricant are fine as the front half prints without layer shifting. The bed is 160mmx160mm - only the front 50-80mm works without layer shifting. I thought it might have been due to alignment of the belts but I have check and I think I have these very well aligned. The belts are very tight and held in tension by small clips that came with the print and I have added a belt tensioner holder I printed from Thingiverse.
Although I have been very careful when I take it apart and the rods all seem very straight - I have rolled them on a table and can't see light though at any time.
Regarding the blobs, I have a lot of retraction, but will increase this and if no improvement, I will try and change the feed.
