I'm a little concerned that I cannot seem to locate the correct working firmware for the printer on the Geeetech site though.

Which works - and both Z axis motors run correctly.

Ok, so I flashed the firmware for the controller board, using the firmware found via this page:

viewtopic.php?f=13&t=17181

And now the printer displays black squares on starting.

Not really very happy.

In addition, when the left hand Z axis motor is disconnected from the control board, the right hand motor runs just fine.

The right hand motor of the Z axis is not turning; I believe this to be a control board (GT2560) or firmware issue, my diagnosis as follows:

- When moving the Z axis with Repetier Host, only the left hand stepper motor turns
- With Z axis connectors swapped, only the left hand stepper ...
