Hi all, and forgive me if this has been asked. I searched and did not find an answer. After having a really hard time fixing Z-axis problems, I now am faced with a Y-axis problem. When I tighten the belt the motor will begin to move the axis and then it stalls and makes a humming sound (like it wants to move but can't). If I loosen the belt considerably (to the point where the belt is pretty loose), it starts to work but then eventually it doesn't work long enough to print.
I hope someone out there can give me an answer. I have been able to print one calibration cube in a year and a half. I have replaced rods, printed parts using other people's printers. I am close to giving up, so any help would be great.
