Post by Ade O »

ok so I just installed a nice new 3d touch but as the firmware was being flashed to the printer via cura the connection to the printer failed so now
the lcd is blank and even though the pc seems to connect to it via the usual com9 neither cura or easy print says its not connected is there a way to fix this

the saddest thing of all is that I was getting some beautiful prints off but thought my life could be made easier for levelling the bed with the 3d touch and now my printer is dead and has become a large humming paper weight
oh please say there is a fix

FYI I had this exact thing, except I couldn't connect via USB either. Geeetech support told me that using the 4.1 firmware instead of the 4.0 bricked my board. They've agreed to send me a new one given that there was no warning, and a minor version upgrade shouldn't produce such dramatic consequences!

Sounds like you've erased the bootloader. Re-install boot loader and re-flash and you should be good to go
