Z-Axis will not move
Z-Axis will not move
Hello,
I own the Prusa i3 Acrylic kit: http://www.geeetech.com/acrylic-geeetec ... p-917.html
I am having trouble with the z axis. When using repetier, it does not rotate, it also doesn't work when I use the lcd. Homing the x and y work perfectly but not the z. It only buzzes. I tried adjusting the driver motor to a higher voltage but it doesn't help. Also, for my x and y, it appears that it doesn't move exactly 1mm (probably 3mm) every time I click, and when I press 10mm or more, it will only move a few mm.
Does anyone know of a solution? I can upload a video of my printer if it helps.
Thank you

Re: Z-Axis will not move
Maybe you did not adjust the substep correctly. Please adjust it according to the tutorial
Re: Z-Axis will not move
What do you mean by substep? Sorry I don't know that one.

You can refer to our wiki page: http://www.geeetech.com/wiki/index.php/Sanguinololu . You can find how to adjust step at chapter 4.
Re: Z-Axis will not move
I do not understand the wiki. I dont see where it shows where I can adjust anything. Can I show you a picture of my board?

I don't see where it says I can adjust my step in chapter 4. Can I send you a picture of my board?

Re: Z-Axis will not move
3 jumper caps should be plugged under each A4988 module. And there should be a jumper cap above the second A4988.
Re: Z-Axis will not move
Oh I never received these in my kit. Where do I buy these caps?

Re: Z-Axis will not move
That's impossible. They are packed with A4988 or other parts. Please check again carefully.
