Firmware Uploading Issues

Post by hillwwl »

Hi Everyone!

I am having some issues with uploading firmware, I downloaded the firmware for the ramps board sent to me and edited it according to these directions: http://www.geeetech.com/wiki/index.php/ ... et_Started

But sadly I still seem to be having some issues. When I turn the printer on now the lcd is still only showing blocks, and the x axis begins to creep over to the endstop at about 0.1mm/second. When I trigger the end stop it does not react. I used to be able to connect to my printer with Repetier and home the axis through there even though the lcd didn't work, but now when I connect to the printer it does not respond at all.

I have tried a number of different fixes, including trying the single-extruder motherboard # and a few other things, but every time the same thing happens (except once, when I uploaded the original marlin config and then nothing happened or moved).

Anyway, I'm just curious if anyone else has had this specific problem or if there are any solutions that anyone knows of. Hopefully I'm just being stupid and it's something obvious, that would be great!

Thanks!

No no no, you don't need to edit the firmware, the parameters have been well set.

Hmmm, well maybe I'm still missing something obvious here, but even when I upload the firmware as it was sent to me I get the same result with the x axis creeping and no lcd or manual control in repetier

So am I understanding you correctly, that I do not have to edit the firmware as I am instructed to do here? I'm not trying to be rude or argumentative, I promise, I'm just trying to figure it all out hahahaha :D

Awesome! Well in that case is it possible to get the firmware sent to me again, since the firmware that was originally sent to me has not corrected the problem. This is my printer: Geeetech i3 pro C dual extruder 3D printer http://www.geeetech.com/geeetech-i3-pro ... niafcnpqe6

So this should have the P13B-RAMPS firmware, right?

Also, I know my endstops are wired correctly because I have already referred to other pictures you've posted in this forum and because they worked correctly before I flashed the firmware (but the lcd screen did not, thus why I flashed the firmware).

Thank You for your help and patience with me!
