What is going on?
When clicking on the home button in repetier I get loud noises for a long time, and I start to smell the motor overheat!!!!!
I also get the error extruder is switched off Mintemp triggered
I have the i3 B package, but I upgraded to a GT2560 board and DRV8825 Motor drivers. I only have one extruder.
I assume the one extruder gets connected to the location of extruder 0??
Is this noise normal when I first plug in the printer.

How do you connect the motor drivers? Can you take some pictures?
Re: First time connection- Loud noise from motors- no moveme
The problem was solved by adjusting the vrefs on the driver.
Can you tell me which way will increase the voltage? Clockwise or counterclockwise.
I still have problems with my Z axis. The motors get really loud or hum when I adjust the vref.

Rotate anticlockwise slightly to increase voltage.
When you want to move z upwards, and motors make big sound, you should check if DRV is bad: Plug x or y DRV to z DRV slot, check if z motors still make sound.
