Is USB enough to upload the firmware.
When I tried with the printer switch on, the motors started making noises that would not stop.
And roughly how long does it take to upload the firmware. Its going on nearly 10 minutes.

Yes, it's enough to upload the firmware with only USB cable. The power from computer is enough to do that.
