I3 Pro X - Building platform support

Post by TommyW »

Dear Geeetech,

I purchased a new genuine Geeetech I3 Pro X printer from a eBay reseller. Printer is now assembled and I am facing a problem caused by bad mechanical structure.

The problem is the "Building platform support" (Part A15): the design is totally different than in other/different models of your brand and the newer design with triangular holes makes it useless.

- Support plate is very flexy - especially when bed is heated.
- It is nearly impossible to adjust the gap between extruder and plate using spring loaded screws as support plate is twisting the same time (even under low pressure load)
- when support plate is twisting the linear bearings stop moving freely

I am sure you have recognized this design failure and as told earlier it most probably concerns only this particular model as the support plate's design is different in other models.

Solution: I suggest that you send to me (without any charges) the support plate of an aluminum version of I3 printer - it will defenitely solve the case.
