How to replace extruder motor

Hello,
I have a Me Creator printer and I think my extruder motor is busted. When I use the extrude command on Repetier the motor moves a little forward and back and makes a "Clank" sound like the gear is busted.
I want to replace it. Dos anyone have instructions on how to do it? As I will not find a perfect match for the current motor, do I have to do anything about the firmware? I know I have to configure the number of steps and stuff for the new motor, but I don't now where.

When the hotend is jammed, you'll hear the clock sound and the motor moves back and forth as you said. You need to clear the hotend and check such as the temperature or other things that made it jammed, The temperature for PLA is about 210 and ABS is about 230.

I do not think the problem is related to the hot end or any obstruction, as the motor does not run even with no filament.

In the video there is no filament. I am holding the extruder lever so there is no pressure on the motor.

Now I connected the Y axis connector to the extruder motor. The video shows what happens when I move the Y axis 50mm. The motor axis does not move. I think the motor is defective or the shaft of the motor disconnected from the extruder cog.

What do you think ?

Hello again. I have now removed the extruder front. Here is the video (I'm sorry it's sideways): https://youtu.be/4Hze11aggys

When I use the extrude command on Repetier (the extruder is hot, so I don't get thew cold extrusion message) the cog does not move. When I gently push it in the direction it is going, it moves. I'm not putting a lot of force with my finger.

When I turn the printer off and move the cog manually I do not feel any click from the motor, so I think the gears are ok.

Do you think the motor may be getting to little current? If so, how do I fix it? And why did it happen as the printer was running just fine before?

And plug the Y motor in the etruder connector, could the Y motor work? if the Y motor works, and the driver is OK, then I think the motor is defective, you need to contact the seller to change it.
