I am having a number of issues with my Me Creator:
Clogged nozzles
Am experiencing some issues with clogged nozzles. After clearing them using both Acetone and a Gas torch. The head still don't seem to be printing well. It extrudes well on test but it does not lay down well on the heatbed.
Extruder positioning
The unit does not seem to be able to move to the full range of the motion available to it, often stopping mid way it its travel on the X axis.
Printing orientation
The print often does not match the position idicated on the slicing programme. The position I see on screen don't match the final print position.
Bed leveling
Am using the paper method but need to do it every other print job.
Printing PLA at 185 - 190, Heatbed with glue at 75
Appreciate help in resolving the problems.

“ It extrudes well on test but it does not lay down well on the heatbed.”
I think your temperature is a little low and that caused to extruder clogged all the times, how about use 200?
"The unit does not seem to be able to move to the full range of the motion available to it, often stopping mid way it its travel on the X axis."
don't know what the problem is...do you have a video for this?

you need to set the offset here: "Am using the paper method but need to do it every other print job."
is your endstop loose or something?

Re: Extruder Positioning
The offsets are set for a printed 50mm larger than that of the mecreators 150mm. Is that correct?
Re: Extruder Positioning
the picture is from my I3X and just for your reference, you need to use 150mm for mecreator.

Re: Extruder Positioning
My settings are exactly the same
is this something that can be fixed with a firmware update? How do i check the version number? Thanks.

Re: Extruder Positioning
No need to reinstall the firmware, just change it and apply it.
Ans remember to change the slic3r settings here too:

Re: Extruder Positioning
Tried adjusting the Repetier host settings and the Slic3r setting. Notice that after changing the values from Max to Min, it reversed the motion. Now instead of having the travel problem on the X axis, it changed over to that of the Y axis.
However, am seeing that the Y axis does not respond as quickly to commands issued via the manual control interface. Is this a problem with the stepper motor?

Re: Extruder Positioning
Yeah change the MAX and MIN will change the directions, but for mecreator it should be MIN. And if you want to change the directon of the axis, check this link here:

"Y axis does not respond as quickly to commands issued via the manual control interface."
sometimes the if you click too fast, the commands will piled up and excute one by one. And if your Y axis works good then it won't be a problem.
Or you can swap it to the X axis and see if the motor is defective or not.
