G2S pro 2nd extruder running wrong direction

Post by bstevens20 »

I've tried changing the value of E1 DIR from false to true and it has no affect on the extruder's direction, also tried to manually extrude and retract on repetier host and both buttons have the same result....pulling filament away from the hotend. Any suggestions? :(

change it to false again, cause you don't konw it is ture or false in the first place, so sometimes you need to try the second time.

That is in the marlin folder under configuration.h and the marlin.ino files there are 4 places to change and reload to the printer and then shut off both printer and Ardiuno IDE and re start the printer connect to it via what ever program you use to do the printing with . . Run the temp and fan on the extruder you want to test have to wait for it to reach the required temp settings before trying to feed filament down through it ..Then hit the feed down part for -50 and see if it pushed the heated melted filament out the nozzle . . I use Repetier-Host works great free and I use the 1.56 version . . OH yeah make sure the heated bed is away from ALL COLD DRAFTS OF AIR or the part will come loose from the bed . . Plus ruin your day and the part . . I found this out ( I moved my 3 D printer up on top of a 5 gallon bucket and as such it was open to COLD AIR from some place and I tried to make same part about 5 times leveled and re checked the bed several times before finding this answer on the web about COLD DRAFTS
