In Repetier-Host, I set the temp in the Repetier_Host software and the temperature in the printer starts climbing, only it does not stop. I've noticed 145 on the LCD screen. Then I get a Max temp error and the printer is unusable until I hit the reset button.
Next problem, it is plain that Repetier-Host is communicating with the printer. But the program does not give access to the 'Config/Printer' setting in the menu. The Print line is not active. It does allow me to set things using the Printer Settings in the toolbar. But menus shown on your web pages such as the 'Extruders' tab are not showing up. The movement tab seems to move the bed in the opposite direction from the arrows. (Or I don't understand them properly.) Moving the bed backwards moves it forward. Etc. Also, I will get the message of "Endstop - Y" when the bed is at the opposite side from the Endstop switch. And once the "Endstop" is activated, everything comes to a stop with no movement options of any kind afterwards.
And I can not send a "Run Job" command to the printer. Nothing happens. No errors or anything else.
Nor will it accept an STI image on a memory card. The LCD display shows when a memory card is loaded. But it will not indicate any STI images which are on the card.
Most of the wiring is using one-way plugs so it's impossible for me to reverse the wiring or the direction of the plug. And I double checked that everything was plugged into the correct plug as I was assembling it according to your building instruction and confirmed using you Wiki building instructions online.
Temp Errors and strange behavior.
Re: Temp Errors and strange behavior.
what's your printer type & mainboard? and which one is over heat? extruder 1,extruder 2 or hot bed ? the printer will not respond to repetier host if there is temperature error.so,you should fix temperature error at first.in addition, the printer can only read g-code,not stl format.so you need to slice the stl file, the put the sliced stl files(g code) to the sd card.
Re: Temp Errors and strange behavior.
I guess that I should have closed this post. I found the problem listed here to be a connection on the board which had come loose.
I realized that I should have closed this earlier when just posted a new problem.
Everything has stopped working now, and all connections look good. Computer is now denied permission to communicate with GT2560 card. And printer is not moving in response to a gcode file on a SD card, even though the LCD screen says that it is printing. But this is from a problem thread that I just posted.
