problem with itg3205 gyroscope

Post by nemo888 »

Hy there,

I have been trying to use the ITG3205 sensor board from Geeetech, but there's something I'm missing. I have soldered AD0 from JP2 to ground to get the 0 on the address. The clk jumper I have not soldered as I don't know if I will use external clock or not, I shouldn't have any problem because of that, I suppose?
Also there's some form of jumper on the lower part of the front of the board, left from "SCL" and below "R2" text. Do I have to do something with it?

Another thing, since not managing to make anything work makes me doubt all that I suppose right, should the bytes be written sending the bits from left to right, or from right to left? I have tried all addresses without getting any acknowledge from the sensor, but I would like to know for sure how it should be, though the problem must be somewhere else, or so I think.

Thanks for any help you can give :)

Hi frined:

The jumper near SCL is for I2C pull up resister. AD0 is for I2C address selection. Please visit the wiki page about the usage of ITG3205.
