Z Axis Endstop No Signal
Z Axis Endstop No Signal
I have finished building the Prusa i3 Proc Dual Extruder. Everything seems to be working, but the Z Axis Endstop is not operating correctly (set as NC and reading as NO). I changed the endstop, but no change. I changed the firmware to reverse the default, but then when the endstop was activated (manually to be safe) the Z axis motors did not stop. Is it possible that the board is faulty? It does not appear to be the switch nor the software. Instead it appears to be an open circuit even when I replace it with an endstop switch that is known to work. Any suggestions?
Re: Z Axis Endstop No Signal
when you release the endstop, send M119 you'll get "open", and when trigger it you'll get "triggered". If you get "open" in both conditions, then I think you might need to check the pins of the endstop connectors on the board, see if there's a bad soldering or not.
Re: Z Axis Endstop No Signal
Thank you for the help. After several hours of trial and error we determined that the build instructions were incorrect and reviewed the electrical schematic. The Z axis end stop was in the wrong location.
Re: Z Axis Endstop No Signal
where did you get the instructions? I checked mine, it is correct, plugged in the Z MIN connector.
