the problem is no usb connection is showing on computer
there is power going to board
have bought new usb cable
have installed drivers

hi,please connect the jumper cap of 2 and 3 to provide USB power.and you will find the com.i have tested it in my computer.

now when i turn power on still no usb on the computer showing
motors are making clicking noise

You can reinstall the drivers if you had connect the jumper cap correctly.download the driver here :http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM ... tified.exe

RUMBA uses the ATmega16U2 USB Chip ... it does not use the FIDI USB chip. Therefore, it does not good to load those drivers. Where you're getting FIDI from is that some Arduino boards use the FIDI.

The 16U2 chip may have been flashed with the wrong fuse settings... see my thread over at

Hi. I'll ask here. Can't flash the firmware to the Rumba. After compilation issues a message timeout. Tried power from usb and external, three cords, two computers and all usb ports. =)
I use Arduino 1.6.0 (when I used the latest version same result.)

...try forcing it to a different COM port... try 2, 3, or 4

Thanks. I already tried 2, 11 & 13 - no changing.
