x axis problem

Hello everyone,
I'm new to 3d printing and have just built my first printer but I have a small problem.
It is a Prusa i3 Pro x.
I have followed the instructions to the letter and used all the video's during the build.
When I home the x axis, it moves to the right but the stop switch is on the left.
The build instructions say put the switch on the left and the pictures and video's show it on the left.
The user manual says home point is front right of the build platform.
Which one is correct?
Do I move the switch over to the right or change the firmware?

The home point is the front left...Maybe the manual need to be modified.You should change the direction in the firmware:

Hi William,
Thanks for your reply.
Something is wrong. Every time I try to upload the firmware I get compiling errors. Something about configuration.h not being there.
I tried to add Marlin to the Arduino library and upload it that way. Now nothing works. Screen is just 2 rows of black squares and no response from any of the motors.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have no idea what the exact problem you've encountered,cuz you didn't attach some snapshoots about the errors.

Hi William,
Here are some photo's
The board itself should have a yellow light on when receiving the file shouldn't it? my Arduino Uno does.
On this board the yellow light comes on briefly when it is connected to the laptop then goes out.
The board is connected, as you can see, but the power is off. The lights are on because it is connected to the com3 port on the laptop.
My problem is the firmware won't upload using Arduion 1.0.1 and won't compile if I use Arduino 1.6.x
?Everything was okay before I tried to update the firmware because the x axis was going the wrong way.
Do you think the board could be faulty. It's brand new.

Perhaps the crystal oscillator doesn't work on the board, you can check the voltage of the two pins to GND, normally they should be both be about 2V, the difference of the two voltage is about 0.2V

Hi Toy,
I checked the voltages on the crystal as you said and got 0.72v on the pin nearest the USB connector and 0.83v on the other pin.
How do I get a replacement board under warranty seeing as I've only had the kit 10 days ? I haven't even used it.

You can contact the seller for a replcement or you can solder a new crystal oscillator yourself,which will save a lot of your time.
It's up to you.
