Hooking LED(s) to 2560 PWM port

Post by woundedknee »

I noticed on the 2560 board wiki that it states you can hook LEDs to the PWM port of the board. Has anyone done this? It would be nice to know the voltage and current limitations, I'd like to connect an LED near the hot end to monitor prints.

Thanks!

Geeetech Wiki page:

"5.3 12v fan output and one PWM output for LED or other lighting equipment. "

You just can hook the leds like the ones on Mecreator 2 i guess, and the rated voltage should be 12V and current for led is dozens of mA.

Thanks William

Do you know how the LEDs on a Me Creator 2 are hooked to the REV B board? Since it's not a kit, I cannot find a reference to that board on the Wiki.
