M201 Axis Not Homing

Post by xvmodvx »

I installed the firmware as instructed on http://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic ... 13&t=17173. When I turn on the printer the LED screen works and I can scroll through the options. When connected by USB my computer sees that it is attached. I opened Repetier-Host and set the preferences up according to the specs given in the User Manual PDF https://www.geeetech.com/Documents/Geee ... manual.pdf and started to follow the steps while also referring to http://www.geeetech.com/wiki/index.php/ ... _extruders about printing with dual extruders. When I clicked on any of the axis to home nothing happens at all and I'm out of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much.

Hi,

First check if you have a right Baud Rate(115200) and COM port in Printer Settings of Repetier Host.

Then check if you have all endstops correctly connected to the right slots on the board(X_min,Y_min,Z_min).

You'd better control your printer via LCD(like move axis, heat up the extruder) first to see if the response is normal before connecting to your computer.

Thank you for your help.

I have the right Baud Rate and COM port in Repetier Host. The end stops are connected correctly and I cannot control the printer via LCD.

I think that maybe there is a problem with the PSU. When I turn the power on nothing happens, only when I connect the USB cable to my computer does the LCD screen light up. Also the LCD stay light up despite changing the power supply's switch from ON to OFF or vice versa. I'm thinking the motors aren't getting enough power that's why the motors don't move when connected to computer or when trying to control it through the LCD. Any advice on the best way to check this or any other possible causes for the problem. Thanks

Refer to this post to make some tests on your printer:
