Prusa I3 Pro W

Post by stevenjeffries »

Hello everyone,

Has anyone been able to get the firmware installed for the Pro W?

The x-axis moves in the wrong direction for me, so I was trying to update the firmware and got sent on a bit of a wild goose chase.

First, I found a post linking to a Marlin github repo. First step is to download the firmware. I click the link, 404. Eventually get Marlin firmware downloaded and uploaded to my board, and the LCD screen is just 2 rows of black boxes and emits a constant high-pitched screech. Find another post (viewtopic.php?t=17046), with a link to firmware for the Pro W, and it won't compile (fpos_t error, also tons of warnings). Go through, rename fpos_t, it compiles, and uploads. Go through auto home procedure, and the printer gets stuck at the end and the LCD fills up with garbage text.

What am I doing wrong here? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

i have marlin 1.1.8 configured on my pro W (with manual mesh bed leveling and tweaks to the speed/jerk/e steps) if any wants it.
use at your own risk tho coz im not an expert, im a noob as well, but it seems to be working smoothly.
