Wrongy soldered mainboard?

Post by Tiuri »

Hello everyone!
I just got my i3 Pro B and I am very satisfied with the components. Sadly it appears that the y_min connector on my mainboard has been soldered wrongly. May somebody confirm?

If so, will Geeetech send me another one or do I need to resolder it myself? I probably need to email the support about this issue..
Thanks in advance!

I would agree with you. Whatever process they used to manufacture their boards but that connector was out of place when the soldering happened.

I'd contact support with the issue, the one or 2 times I've had an issue they were very easy to deal with and replaced the part in question.

Hi Tiuri
You should contact sales to sending you a new one.

Just wanted to post a summary how it all went.
The sales was very friendly and redirected me to Rick, who manages the eBay purchases.
Somehow me and Geeetech overlooked, that I bought from a seller who isn't Geeetech. So I wrote to the seller and they wanted a quick YouTube video of my issue (for security reasons? Video harder to fake than a picture?) I recorded a quick video on my phone, uploaded it and they approved it. Now I get a new mainboard.
All in all the Geeetech support was very kind and tried to help me, even if we all overlooked the seller information.
