Firmware Update Questions

Hi All,

I've been trying to update my M201 firmware. I'm using the STM Flash Loader, fixed the jumper, reset etc per instructions and tried to update to 1.0.0.3. Burner said all done successfully. The LCD control was frozen after the process completed so I removed the jumper and recycled power. When it repowered I got the 2 bars across the LCD so something went wrong. I tried to go back to the original as well as 1.05, no good. I then found a thread which says to load the boot loader so I downloaded 1.0.1 and followed the instructions.

Afterwards I removed the jumper and recycled the power.

Still getting the 2 bars on the LCD. Am I missing a step here? (or 5...)

You must be careful not to confuse addresses.

The firmware version depends on the hardware version.
The controller board of our printer changed over time.
For the current version of the controller board, GTM32Pro vB the latest firmware is version number 1.0.03.

1.0.05 is applicable to the controller's older board (GTM32).

In order to download firmware in HEX format you need to have a hardware programmer, e.g. ST-LINK v2.
You also need to have a minimum knowledge of STM32 microcontrollers so that nothing can go wrong.
