That is not generally true. My new A10 that I got as replacement for my broken one has this connectors.Wolle82 wrote: Wed Oct 10, 2018 4:18 pm The A10 has no extra connectors to connect the sensor at the hotend/extruder... you connect it to the Z endstop on the mainboard directly as I know.
4. using a diode, no calculations necessary.Wolle82 wrote: Wed Oct 10, 2018 4:18 pm Further there a 3 methods to connect it to the Z endstop:
1. directly connect the sensor (not recommended - voltage to low with 5V for the sensor. The sensor is about 6-36V.)
2. use an octocoupler (safest but more tricky - use 24V with the sensor, separated 5V from the mainboard for the signal)
3. use a voltage devider (easy and cheap - use 24V with the sensor and devide the voltage to 5V for the signal)
My new A10 has a mount builtin.
As long as we don't know which version of the A10 he has it is difficult to give the right answer.
