GT2560, firmware

hi first my GT2560 rev A went bad so ordered a new GT2560 A+ from GEEETECH amazon store to use on my ctc clone prusa I3 from 2017 that i have upgraded to direct drive T8 on X/Y/Z
i have managed to install a bootloader as there didnt seem to be one
but on my com port it just says com8 and not the Gt2560 as it used too
and i really dont know what marlin 3d program that i need as i see a choice of a/b/c/pro all the ebay add says is "2017 Upgraded Full Quality High Precision Reprap Prusa i3 DIY 3d Printer"
so any help would be really appreciated
