Maybe there is a problem in the USB circuit on the board.
BTW,did the other parts of the printer work fine except the USB problem?Like print it with a SD card?Motor movement controlled by LCD?

I seem to also be having the same issue..
I have installed the driver released 10/10/2016
and I get this error from Arduino..
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_getsync(): timeout communicating with programmer

Did you find the COM port in the device manager of your computer?
You can try giving power to your GT2560 board first,then connect the USB cable to your computer.

I have the same issue. tried 6 computers windows 7 9 10 and linux. 2 boards from the seller on ebay. finally gave up accepted a 15 buck refund and bought a ramps 1.4. But I have 2 of these and id like to use them in another project.
