I also have the same problem. Buy the prusa Pro B printer a few months ago.
I have been printing normally from it both from SD and from the PC connected by USB. A few days after printing a piece by USB the USB stopped sending data. No longer connected via USB. COM port does not appear in Device Manager. The LCD is lit but nothing is displayed. I can still print using SD but I can not connect to the computer.
How can I solve it?
I have only used the printer for 3 months.
Thank you
Sorry i can'n understand the words " The LCD is lit but nothing is displayed. I can still print using SD",i think you can't print using SD if your display is not working?
Did you try it on other computers or other USB cords?
it is simple . The problem is that the USB does not connect to the printer.
From USB connected, no power supply connected, LCD turns on but does not display anything and can not access the printer from arduino to load the firmware or from Repetier-Host to print. Device Manager does not create the COM port to connect to the printer.
In standalone mode without connection to the computer, I was able to continue printing from the SD card.
I've already tested it with another cable, on another computer, install the drivers again and nothing still does not connect via USB.
Do you have Any suggestions of what I could do?
Thank you

What I did right now, I've reinstalled the PC that is clean and installed your driver but I still have the same problem.
If I connect Arduino with the printer I can see that some of the small LED's are shortly blinking red and that the display shows no content which comes back after a few seconds.
I also tried to upload the firmware again with pressing the reset button before.
What would be the next steps, exchange the board?
Here is a bit better picture.
On the Chip are the following informations:
EFTDI
1550-C
5657501
FT232RQ

I'm afraid exchangement is the only way if you have done all of the above...

I guess your issue is different from @cRaZyT's,after all yours worked normally before. So weird...
But i'm suspecting the FTDI chip on your board may be broken somehow, making it impossible to communicate with computer.

Hi,
Actually you can contact the seller on eBay to talk about how to deal with it.

If there is no other posibility which I can try then we have to exchange the board. How can we manage the exchange, would it be done by you or the seller (I think he is directly from Geeetech) or...?

The board was exchanged but there is an other problem with. I'll open a new thread which can be found here:
https://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopi ... 18&t=19130
By the way, the customer support from my dealer was perfect until now and I hope the "new" problem could be fixed.
