MK2a Heating bed wiring question

Post by Zorce »

Greetings, I recently bought the Geeetech Acrylic Prusa i3 Kit and I am at the heating bed wiring.
I understand where the thicker heater wires need to be soldered to but for the life of me, I can not understand how the thermometry wire ( i am assuming that is what it is) is mounted. In the picture it looks like it is taped to the middle of the heat bed. The only other wires in the numbered bag (part 41) has what looks like a jst connector on both ends yet the wire taped in the picture looks to have no connectors. This confuses me. I watched a few youtube videos where this wire was called the ("thermistor") however in my instructions it says that the thermistor is "attached on the bed"? Am I missing something? I am totally confused on what to do with the smaller wiring and how it goes on the bed.

Thanks

Heater wires, thermometry wire and thermistor, they all soldered on the heat bed,
you just connect the other end to the main board.
And show me the photo of your heat bed if there is sth lost.

Solder to what? I see no solder points in the middle of the board. Just a single hole. And the the wires in my package have plastic connectors on them. I see no thermistor.

Solder what? I see no solder points in the middle of the board. I have the same bed as the pic you posted. I cant see much with the wire in the middle because of the tape. The cables I got for this part, all have plastic connectors on the ends.
I see no thermistor.

Is there some reason that every post has to be approved? This seems like it would slow the trouble shooting process?????

I'm sorry they were not soldered. So you have to solder them by yourself.
And this is the thermistor, please check whether you have it or not (It should be there).

Then sold it to the wires, and paste it on the heat bed with a gummed tape.

Unfortunately I don't anything that looks like a thermistor. In fact there isn't one even listed in my inventory book that came with my kit that has all the items listed and numbered. The instructions say that the thermistor is "attached to the bed"????

Sorry for that.
You can provide us your order ID, we'll resend it to you.
However it may take a long time to transport--more than a week.
So I think you can buy one from a local electronic shop, if possible. It's cheap and faster.

About the slow progress, it's not because of the approval, but the time difference--we're not working at the same time :)

Best regards

Already had to wait for missing rods. I am starting to see a trend here and starting to wonder if I will ever get this assembled.
Why wasn't it in the parts inventory book?

Hi
It's in a plastic bag and "attached on the bed" before.
And it's indeed too small to find, so we solder it to the wire and paste them on the heat bed now.
