Homing issue on Rostock G2S

Post by anubisragnarok »

After initial assembly, many issues, I was able to successfully home all 3 axes. After removing power to the printer overnight, the printer is no longer able to home. I found a YouTube video of another user with the same issue https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8dlkNIEXBw

Manual control without homing will only work on the Z axis. Moving any direction in X/Y causes the print head to move to the same point, between the X and Z rods.

Is there anything I can try to help correct this issue?

hi,vulk.if the remove power supply, the printer will not auto home.so you need to power the printer up,and control it in repetier host.
regarding to the digonal move down after pressing homing,it's because the axis is unlocked after you do not operate it for a while.
more information please refer to following link.

The video shows the exact issue it grinds down right after homing up. Not enough of a delay for the motors to cut out.
