Convert geeetech i3 Pro to dual extruder

Post by ezaeza »

Hi, I got a i3 pro with a mono MK8 extruder, which works very well, thank you for that :)
I would like to know what I have to change if y want to install a dual extruder.

The GT2560 seems to be ready for that, it seems I just need to add a motor driver in the empty slot. No need to reflash ?
I need to print a new extruder bracket.
Is the power supply ready for dual extruder ? It seems to be a 21A

Did I miss something ?

I think you need:
1. MK8 extruder x1
2. stepper driver A4988 x1
3. extruder cable x1
4. heat sink x1
5. dual extruder bracket x1
6. metal holder for MK8 extruder x1
7. firmware for I3 PRO C dual extruder printer

And the power, 21A is enough for dual extruder printer, and that will be all.
You can confirm it to the sales in case I miss something.
The metal holder is as the picture shows:
