Hello!
I am having problems connecting my sim900 shield to the Arduino UNO.
Here is the SIM card I am using from this phone. http://www.alcatelonetouch.us/alcatel-o ... 05g-zodiac IT is a "tracphone" I am in the USA and it is an unlocked GSM sim card.
Problem: when I attach the sim900 to the uno, I am receiving a blinking green "netlight" and a red status light.
I have tried attaching them separately and together. I have tried several different code, and it never connects. The light blinks the same, maybe 800s on and 64 ms off but it is hard to tell.

Please help! I have tried different code using 9600 baud and 19200 baud. But even before running any code, I should be able to see the gsm hook up to a network.
