Stepper Motors

Post by oldtimmer »

I want to use a printrborad as my controller.
There are so many choices for stepper motor's.
I am building a 400mm x 400mm x 400mm 3d printer.
Can not seem to find what stepper motor's the printrboard supports Volts , Amps.
Does anyone have some info or where I can get the info.
Thank You

12V motors will be fine, and with 1.5 amps max current as the 4988 current range is about 0-1.5A I think...maybe this link will help you:

Thank You for the quick reply.
I have read the info on the printrboard witch told me 2A max but gave nothing on voltage for steppers.
There a lot of different voltage steppers out there.

usually the voltage for motors is 12V or 24V, and the voltage for the drivers is about 0.8-1.2V.
