Rostock mini g2s auto-leveling issue

Post by louturque »

Hi!

I need help :), I've been troubleshooting for a while but I'm really stuck and can't make the auto-leveling work as it should.

I did everything as described in the instruction guide. After homing the printer with G28 code and sending G29 code, my printhead will get all the probing points as it should, then it will rise 50mm high after the last probing point as expected. After that, when I enter G1 X0 Y0 code, the printhead moves immediately downwards and crashes into the bed... It shouldn't move in the Z direction when sending this code... I have also tried sending manual commands instead of G1 X0 Y0, like moving upwards in Z direction (I even tried downward Z command to make sure nothing was inverted), but any command I send will still move the printhead down and crash into the bed. The only command that will not make the printhead crash into the bed is G28, but if I do so my printer will loose all probing points coordinate and the auto-leveling becomes useless..

Any idea what the problem may be? I have looked into many forums but nobody seems to have this same issue as I have.

Any help will be very much appreciated :)

correction from my initial post, after all probing points are saved, the printhead only lifts 5mm instead of 50mm. When I look up my Marlin Firmware configuration.h in Arduino, I see that it should raise 50mm after all probing points are done. 5mm is how it should raise in between each probing points... Any idea why my printer doesn't react as my configuration.h setup? could this be linked to my problem? Thanks

Ok, turns out there was something wrong with the firmware. This is weird because I had loaded it from Geeetech wiki.

Now the problem is fixed with the firmware Marlin 1.0.3 dev loaded from: http://reprap.org/wiki/Delta_Rostock_mi ... Adjustment

However, now I'm facing another issue which seems also to be related to the firmware.

When I start a print, the Extruder Motor doesn't work anymore. It is actually blocked. If I send manual commands with Repeater Host I'm able to extrude and make the extruder motor work. The problem now is when I try to print a part, the extruder motor just won't work.

Do I have the right firmware? or is there any other firmware I should be using that doesn't have the auto-leveling issue nor the extruder motor issue?

Thanks
