Issues with Prusa I3 heat bed

Post by adamh125 »

In the past I have had issues with the control board and overheating problems so far as even already needing to replace the connectors to the heat bed. However the problem has move on the the next weakest point in the system and has burnt out that connector as well. So does anyone know a place I can find a replacement part or even just some specifics on it so I can continue looking. I have also heard that some people solder the wires directly onto the board (which I don't want to do) or replace it with a screw connection part as it has less likeliness of having such problems again. In the past I have primarily sourced my parts through digikey with good success so if you have a part number through there it would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
-Adam

Well I learned its a 2x2 4-pin atx 12 volt connector but without things pitch and row spacing it becomes a very difficult thing to find the exact part assuming I am just going to replace it.So I was hoping someone might have had a similar experience and could provide some insight.

For the original part in this post the replacements are
The PCB Header is Molex part # 39-28-1043
And the plug is Molex part # 39-01-2040
You'll also need the crimps for the plug, 4x Molex part # 39-00-0039

I have also had to replace other parts the green connectors to the extruder(s) and hot bed are
PCB header On-Shore-Technology-Inc. part #OSTOQ025350
and the plug is On-Shore-Technology-Inc. part #OSTTJ025153

and the two fuses
for the hot bed Eaton part #CB61F15A-TR1
and extruder Eaton part #CB61F10A-TR1

I typically source my parts through digikey.
