fan control on my Geeetech i3 X

Post by Shadrack »

I have an i3 X that is working great. I would like to add a fan and shroud, and have one fan connection still open on the board.
If I hook the fan up, does it always stay on, or can I control that port for the fan so that it is one when printing and off when stopped?
If so, some help on how?
Thanks.

Hi,
If you connect the fan to the normal fan ports like FAN1,FAN2,FAN3,the fan will always on.But if connected to the PWM fan port as the following pic shows,it is controllable if only you want.
