I just finished the assembly of my I3 Pro B acrylic, and I have a lot of issues.
During the assembly, I say that my Y motor was not correctly aligned with the acrylic frame (the upper side is relly beside the arcylic, the bottom have a small gap). I was not that afraid, so I continued the assembly
When I first tried to fire the printer, I had an issue with the Z axis. Motors were not able to move rods. So, I loosen a bit the screws on the linear bearing and on the nut, then I sticked the rod to the motor axes, in the couplers (I had mounted them with a small gap, as the coupler might act as a spring, to reduce wooble). It was much better from 0 to 140mm, at 140 mm, the left motor is still not able to raise all the Z axis assembly. I decided to order new threaded rods, as I guess they are not straight. (I also invert the locking ring on one of the smooth rod on the X axis. On the top axis, the locks are outside, on the bottom axis, the locks are inside)
My biggest concern is on the Y axis. I have an issue there. Sometimes (about 10%) the Y axis is loosing steps when moving in a positive direction (negative works more than 99%, and whet it do not works, is just after the psitive side had lost steps). Here is what I tried:
* Change the stepper on the 2950
* Increase voltage up to 1.19v on the Y motor
* Invert the pulley
* Switch the motor (with the X axis)
* try to align the polley
I saw that with no charge (no belt attached to the motor) it seems not happening that much
Here is my fear....
When I assembled the spool hoder... Here is what I get. You can see that the vertical acrylyc is not vertical at all... I mesured 14mm fo difference betweent the top and the bottom (thanks to the card box above)
I am afraid that the bad acrylic cut had made all my machine badly aligned, generating all my problems.
Any idea ????
