Extruder/feeder not working (G2S Pro)

I have tested the cables with a continuity tester on all 4 wires on both leads from the extruder motor all the way down to the plug into the GT2650 board.
When I slice a print and start the job, some filament comes out of the hot end due to the heat, but the motor at the top does not turn at all. Both extruder motor fans work. I tried removing the filament away from the extruder motor to see if the motor was actually trying to feed filament during a print and it is not moving at all.
I have tried using extruder 2 as 1 and 1 as 2, to see if only one of the motors are faulty, but they both do not even try to turn when the hot end is at the right temperature.

The problem is either:

1. a setting in the firmware (I see in other posts that sometimes a corruption in the firmware can cause issues, which is why I have tried re-flashing the firmware twice before posting here)

2. The stepper motors for feeding the filament are faulty (as this is a fairly new printer that I built and have had a multitude of issues with it before getting it to this stage.

3. The GT2650 board's motor ports are the origin of the fault.

Any additional thoughts and suggestions on how to fix this problem would be great as I would like to actually print something since buying this printer in April 2016.

1.Did the other motors work(x,y,z motor)?If they did,you can plug the two extruder motors to the slot of other motor to have a check.

2.Maybe its the driver on extruder motor has a problem,you can swap it with other motor's.

3.Check if the cable of extruder motor has a good connection.Similarly,you can swap it with other motor's.

Excellent tip regarding plugging in the extruder motors to the stepper axis motor ports.
I have found a faulty stepper driver so far, butat least it is now extruding for me to work with.
Any idea how I go about getting a replacement (stepper driver chip) faulty part under the geeetech 3 year warranty?
