Hotend problem

Post by Mostafa »

Hi,

I received a Rostock 301 printer three days ago. I assembled it and adjusted everything according to the user manual. It took about 15 hours. I adjusted the level and its ok.

When I started to print the elephant model, the hotend scratched with the printing bed and the filament is not out anymore. I don't know if it's blocked or the hotend is damaged.

Does anybody have any idea about how to solve the problen or should I buy another hotend?

Best regards,
bang

Maybe you can heat up the extruder first then extrude the filament(try 3 paths) with your hand to have a look.

Hi,

I could let the filament go, but it is very slow (not fluent) and is not sticking with the hot bed. I'm using ABS with 235 C and 95 C.

You can add some glue or blue tapes on the heatbed for the sticking issue, and i think you'd better test PLA first. Then test ABS if PLA is normal.
How do you like it?
