Voice Recognition module not connecting to accessport

I am having trouble with the voice recognition module. I connect the module to my computer load up accessport and change the settings like the manual says however that is all it does. I cannot send any data and no matter what I type in nothing happens at all. Any suggestion on what I can do to fix this so I can start recording voice commands?

I did not. Nothing I try seems to work.
