Hi all,
just homed my new mecreator2 for the first time and had to quickly remove the z axis headbed cable because in homed position the z axis this cable is roughly 30mm to short. I tried to carefully check if there is some more cable in the housing, but this is not the case. Anyone had a similar observation and a possible fix for it?
Thanks,
Axel
Btw.: How could they check the printer and not find that? Just wondering...
Mecreator2 - Heatbed cable length
Re: Mecreator2 - Heatbed cable length
Hi,could you take some pictures about the cable's situation when z-axis is in home? The cable could be dragged out from the bottom.

Re: Mecreator2 - Heatbed cable length
So I opened the bottom of the printer to check if some cable got stuck inside. This was not the case. everything was neatly tied together with cable binder. The solution then was easy. cut the cable binders and reroute the heatbed cable between the outer shell and the stepper motor. Then retighten everything with cable binders again. The fix worked for me.
I also contacted Geetech about this issue and the send me a new longer cable. I guess I have a spare now.
Best regards,
Axel
