Hello, I have a problem with printing the first layer with my prusa i3 aluminium.
I have just finished to build my printer.
I did the initial adjustment with a piece of A4 paper, then I make an auto home, but when I print the first layer there is a gap of at least 4 mm between nozzle and the the surface of hotbed.
Wich parameter should i do ?
Thank you.

After you calibrate the hotbed, the first layer should be printed in the home position. So It really sounds weird.Have you adjusted the screw which is used to trigger the Z axis' endstop like the pictures showing?
If it still cannot work, could you take a video about it as much more detail as possible? You can upload the video to Youtube. Then just send the video link in this post.-Keep your mind and try to test it.

Hello,
Yes, I adjusted this screw but without result.
However I saw in a forum that someone to change a value, and apparently it fixes the problem, I changed the Z step to 2560 by 400 and apparently. Why am I forced to change this parameter ? Is there a wrong firmware 8 mm rod ?
