Hi All,

I received my I3 proB last weekend built it with no problems whatsoever went together like a breeze. Now on to the nightmare that is this printer, read the user guide front to back before doing anything watched several online videos on how to level the bed all with out any issues. Watched videos on how to calibrate the extruder and also installed repiter host as per the user manual.

Now for the issue's.

1) The repiter host will not connect to the printer at all, the lcd display will come on when the usb is plugged into the pc, and i get the little windows sound to notify me it has detected a usb device being plugged in, configured the software as per the instructions and nothing at all its as if it just will not connect, I get an error saying 'No start signal detected-Forcing start, if i try to send any commands the printer just will not respond and i get a time out, Uninstalled everything and reinstallled over and over again on different pc's all using windows and still nothing

2) Calibrating the extruder works fine watched a video on how to do this and can do that with out any problem, the problem i am having is it just does not improve the prints whatsoever and it will not store any information in the control section of the printer, it prints from sd card but the final result is just terrible and i am now at the point of just throwing the whole thing in to the trash.

I really hope someone can help me out on this before i loose my patience with the whole thing.

You poured out your regrets that you feel helpless ....

maybe now give some particulars.
Which port has installed your system and which port have you set up in the slicer.
What communication speed have you set?

Nobody said that life would be easy, and your way would be paved with roses...

Look at my first 2 printouts.
And here the next 4, after the first two.

This caused that I started to work even more.

Forgive my comment. The whole world reads your message and evaluates your person under its influence.

I wish you more perseverance. And when reporting problems, try to be accurate in the description so that you can be helped.
Nobody is a fairy.
In addition, perhaps after reading the forum, you could solve your communication problem yourself.

1, Seems like something wrong with your mainboard, the serial port.

2, Can you upload some pictures in Attachment? Maybe the print job can be improved after some adjustment.

Thanks for the reply I have solved the communication issue between the pc and the printer it turns out that the driver that was suggested by geeetech was the incorrect driver as my mainboard had a different chip to the driver, I found a post by another user regarding correct driver's so that is one hurdle cleared and now i have full communication between the two .

Thanks for the reply I played around with the settings last night and still very hit and miss with the print quality I have attached some pictures

This is the top layer of a test rectangle which is ok but it still has gaps

Bottom layer as you can see did not bed down very well at all, this may have been my error not to sure

The layers look good but appear to be running up at a slight angel once again this could be my fault And the calibration cube is well you can see for yourself Any input would be greatly appreciated on all of this.

The bed has been leveled using the sheet of paper method and i am using glue stick on the bed, The nozzel is set at 180 and the bed at i believe was at 80 using pla 1.75mm flow rate at 100% and layer set at 0.2 with 30% infill as per the settings on the thingiverse site.

You need to know that temperature is an individual thing for each pratition of the filament.
So you can always experiment with this setting. (Temperature settings hot end)

Have you already performed any calibrations?
