My printer will not heat up and the motors do not move.

Post by _Nathan_ »

I have recently received the I3 Pro W as a gift for christmas and have set it up, but when I hooked it up to my computer and tried to print it says it is heating up, but it just stays at room temperature. Also I selected the auto home option on the printer and none of the motors move. I believe everything is plugged in properly. I have tried multiple 3d print softwares. Easy print 3d and Repetier host. I am able to connect to the printer through these programs, but I cannot print, because neither the extruder or the print bed seem to heat up and none of the motors move. I would like to know how I could fix these issues with my printer. I hope this is enough information. Thanks in advance for the help.

:D Hi,You can see if your wiring is fully connected,

Is the motor wiring on the motherboard correct?

Is it possible to control the printer through the screen and move x / y / z;

Regarding the connection, you can check whether your serial port is correct.

You can try to install the driver manually: https://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopi ... RlcFtWdCG4

Thank you for the help, but the printer still has the same problems. I made sure everything was plugged in properly and downloaded the correct driver. The serial port is correct, but the motors do not move on the screen when I try to click on X / Y / Z on the manual controls. Do you know of any other options I could try. Thanks.
