i3 b Acrylic set up

Help PLEASEEEE!!

I have followed the instructions and what I have found on the forum and cannot get my sons printer to work!

What we got to work

-heating bed and heating extruder
- x-axis
- screen!

I changed the wires around to check the motors manually. they all seem to work.
We have tried the install of the firmware and I think this might be where the problem is.
I uninstalled all the related software and installed the Arduino 1.01 and the proper Marlin software opening it while connected to the 2560.
Nothing changes when I install the software. please help!
Also I have Repetier 2.1.6 as the interface.

Please help before all my hair has being pulled out!!

So Sorry for not coming back to you sooner.

No we have not fixed it yet. It has kinda deflated the magic of the gift and expectation. But hopefully you can help us?
Is there any diagnostic tool that can help us identify the issues?
