I had a clogged extruder that required disassembly to clear. Upon reassembly the LCD showed a nozzle temp of 3**°C (pretty sure it was 358 but I could look again). Upon disconnection of the hot end from main board it shows a temperature of -14°C and will not heat the hot end. To my knowledge this means that it is not the main board.
This would place the problem in; board that rides with the extruder (is the correct name the ramps board?), the thermistor, or the wiring correct?
How would I go about troubleshooting what part in specific is bad?

something like this? looks like the right plug and all, just cut to length and resolder wires?vert wrote: Sun Nov 17, 2019 5:59 am reading MAX temp means you shorted it.
marlin is programed to prevent use in both these cases.
replacing the thermistor seems the best action there like 1$ all day on amazon.
