switching to e3d/jhead/groovemount style hotend

Hi, I am wondering how should I go to change my current hot end into groovemount style hot end notably the all metal jhead and e3d type of hot end eg this one http://www.geeetech.com/metal-jhead-wit ... m6couiq706

Without affecting too much of a print volume on z axis like losing about 10-30mm of z axis print volume also to reduce the need of recalibrating too much.

Is there a way without the need to buy metal groove mount bracket and changing the extruder style?
