Thermistor for GEEETech i3 Purchased mid-June

Post by etridas »

Hello,

I recently purchased several GEEETech i3 dual extruder printers in mid-June. I also have one that I purchased in March.

Currently I cannot get the bed thermistors from the printers purchased in mid-June to indicate the proper temperature. The heaters will run at full power for over an hour with a setpoint at 110 C, however the temperature will only be listed as ~100 C after this time. This same behavior is occurring on more than one printer purchased in June. I used the same firmware and thermistor setting for the bed as the printer than had been purchased in March (with "#define TEMP_SENSOR_BED 1"). I did however notice slight differences in the circuit boards between the two versions. It seems that these new printers have a different type of thermistor or possibly some other issue that is causing the thermistor to read the wrong temperature.

Has anyone else had this problem? Can you offer a possible solution?

Thanks,

Eric
