printer just stops

i have a prusa i3 pro b and its my first big print and lcd displays weird symbols on the screen while printing and about 20 or so hours into the print the printer just stops...doesnt matter if printing with usb or sd card...lcd or laptop still says that the printer is printing....have checked all cables and connections everything looks good....baud rate is 250000 and port is com 3...anyone know whats going on? plz help

20 hours might be too long for a print job, the motors and drivers might be too hot. And the symbols on the LCD, sometimes they are caused by the static electricity, but seems it will not affect the print jod and results is always quite good.

if i keep the printer in a cool room with a/c ..do you think the motors and drivers will still overheat?

ok so i figured it might be a overheating issue but when i touched on around the gt2560 board (the one circled in red) gets super hot, like it burns my finger its so hot, was wondering what part this goes to and what i can do to fix it...if i can put a fan on it or if it needs totally replaced...if i can switch it out with a new or if i have to replace the whole gt2560 board?...plz help

this is normal, this mosfet is the one that controls the heating, you can try to use a fan to cool it down.

could this be the reason the printer just stops, i tried to print something smaller than takes less time and it printed for about 45 sec..and then just stopped...lcd screen sais its still printing but print head is not moving, and i cannot control it until i compeletly shut it off and turn it back on then its normal again until printing..then stops again...?

okay , could that be the reason my printer just stops, because i tried to print something smaller with only like 5 hour print time...and it printed for about 5 minutes and then just stopped...?

Seems like a firmware problem, but as you said before you can print for about 20 hours, then I'm wondering whether your power cord that plugged into the printer side has a bad contact or not...

Maybe firmware because i just printed somethin with 2 hr print time nad the lcd didnt have those symbols and it printed just fine..then i tried the bigger print again and symbols came back...seems like when the symbols are on lcd is when it messes up?

don't know if this is the root cause, do you have another mainboard to check it? I mean using the same firmware, see if it is a firmware problem or a hardware problem.
