Filament not heating/melting

Hi,

We have recently assembled a Rostock G2S printer and have experienced a couple of issues:

1). When auto calibrating, it touches heat bed, but once heat bed has reached temperature and printing process begins, it appears to mimic the printing process and hovers in mid air, but still moving.

2). We can get the filament down the extruder and pipe, but it does not melt down.

can anybody help or point us in the right direction, either YouTube clip or any text info.

Hi,
Did your extruder reach the preset/enough temp?And i guess you didn't fully plugged into the barrel(not the PTFE tube) of the extruder,have a double check on it.
